We offer local Train the Trainer programming. If you are excited about helping establish Victory Gardens locally in “food deserts” in LA County and willing to commit your time and people skills to making something exciting happen, this is the place for you. Our team believes that sustainable solutions can be made to happen by training energized professionals, dedicated to sharing knowledge and creating food gardens and gardeners. Our passionate instructors are the best in horticulture and permaculture and have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of excellence.

We have two options: Paid Scholarship or Enrollment Fee. The program is an intense boot camp approach to providing you the tools and knowledge to make a difference in your community. Once certified, you are required to make a minimum 5-hour weekly volunteer commitment for 1 year to establish 60 victory gardens in Los Angeles County, to mitigate food insecurity issues in our community.

Please fill out this application and include a letter explaining why you should be awarded a O-FII scholarship. Tell us about yourself and how you are involved/would want to be involved in your community. Our goals are to mitigate food insecurity, improve nutrition and physical fitness, and provide service above self.

VOLUNTEERING & INTERNSHIPS

LOCAL GARDEN MASTERS

Our goals are simple: create workable solutions to big problems by putting meaningful directed knowledge programming into the hands of individuals who can do something with it. We are looking for focused solutions, multiplied by dedication and smarter thinking and using what we already know, and getting them to those who want to / need to / have to be better.

If you are looking to make a difference, and are able to think and deliver globally while working locally, we should chat. If you think you have a program that offers that kind of solution, we should chat.

LET US KNOW ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE

TRAINERS & EDUCATORS

Global Guidance Initiative is working toward changing the world. Some call this “social disruption” or “social entrepreneurship”. Whatever you want to call it, or however you classify yourself, we are looking for those individuals who see beyond themselves and want to make a difference.

What kind of help do we want and need from you? We are looking to create solutions that mitigate problems in the human condition: problems where the solution is based on knowledge exchange, better practices, and social distribution of proven working models.

To do this, we need to reach out to multiple members of our society: business leaders, philanthropists, planners, community activists, educators, politicians, scientists, engineers, agriculturists, and more. The skills we need and can help you develop include leadership, training, development, fund raising, issues management, web science, project management, consensus building, logistics, planning, social engagement, budget management, and communications ― on both the international and local level. And this is just for starters.

We believe the best way to establish a network of dynamic, excited people is to give them something worth doing, sharing, promoting ― offering something that is meaningful, purposeful and a priority. If this is something you can get excited about, let’s talk.
